An anonymous donor stepped up and 100% fully funded our tractor—a low-hour, 2017 Kubota L3901HST that is officially the life force of Karma Ranch! Now, we need your help to equip this workhorse to handle a brutal Montana winter.
When snow hits Karma Ranch, we are completely on our own.
The country road leading to our gate is NOT plowed by the county, and none of our neighbors possess a tractor capable of clearing it. If a horse experiences a medical emergency and needs the vet, or if a critical delivery of feed needs to get in, being trapped is not an option. Clear road access is 100% mandatory for the safety of Aurora, Astro, Jupiter, Kale, Luna, and Cosmos.
Your $100 contribution directly sponsors the ultimate winter access setup for our Kubota. Every contribution brings us closer to our operational target of ~$5,100 to acquire:
Gold Standard Commercial Snow Plow System (~$4,700): A heavy-duty, hydraulically-angled subframe-mounted plow. We must clear 2 miles of unmaintained road every single snowstorm just to reach the main county line. Mounting directly to the tractor's frame gives us the power to push heavy drifts safely without damaging loader arms.
Heavy-Duty Rear Tire Chains (~$400): Aggressive ladder-style tire chains. Maximum traction on frozen gravel, steep grades, and ice isn't a luxury—it is mandatory for safe operation.
Daily Sanctuary Operations on the 250 Acres:
Within the sanctuary grounds, we will use this plow and chain setup daily. When deep blizzards hit, we must clear paddocks and carve out vital pathways through the pastures so the herd can keep moving, digest properly, and access shelter. We will also use it to maintain clear paths to all gravel pads, hay huts, and run-in shelters.
The Goal: We need 51 people to step up with a $100 sponsorship to fund this complete plow system and tire chains outright. Every $100 contribution secures another stretch of road access and guarantees emergency safety for our rescue herd all winter long!
Important Note on Your Contribution: This is a symbolic sponsorship item to directly fund sanctuary equipment and winter operational readiness. No physical item will be shipped to your address. 100% of your $100 purchase goes toward acquiring winter plow attachments and safety gear for the Karma Ranch tractor.
