Preparing 250+ acres in Montana for freezing winter weather means keeping our pad sites, barn approaches, and driveways completely mud-free and safe for foot and hoof traffic. Proper aggregate drainage protects horses like Aurora and Jupiter from soft, muddy ground during freeze-thaw cycles.

We have secured a local delivery rate of $55 per ton, and our goal is to deliver 190 tons of gravel across the property before winter sets in.

Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, a local Kubota tractor is lined up to do all the heavy lifting! We do not need to pay for grading labor—we just need the raw gravel delivered directly to the sanctuary grounds. Sponsoring one or more tons helps us build firm, dry pads for our new shelters and feeding areas.
