Averi Iris is a contemporary oil painter based in Bozeman, Montana, whose work serves as a vibrant bridge between memory, emotion, and the natural world. At just 21 years old, Averi has developed a signature style defined by "bright, joyful touches" and a mastery of color that breathes new life into the rugged beauty of the West.
For Averi, painting is more than a creative outlet—it is a way to hold time still. Her work is a deeply personal exploration of finding beauty in the wake of tragedy. After the devastating loss of her 14-year-old brother, Layton, Averi turned to her canvas as a vessel for healing. Through her art, she honors his legacy by choosing to live with purpose, infusing her paintings with the kind of light and warmth that refuses to be dimmed by grief.
Her process is driven by the desire to make the viewer feel—to transform a fleeting moment or a Montana horizon into a permanent sanctuary of color.
